Status Check

Alright, with the GJW now over, the Fiction Tribune's office is going to get back in gear. Here's a partial update on the projects we have going.

Fiction Archive: Paused because Ziggy is having RL issues at the moment. I may pick it up myself in the meantime.

Writer's Corner: I've finished consultations with Anshar and it looks like this will finally be taking off. I'm throwing a proposal around, and once it's been approved, we're going to put notices up. People have been participating in this, and I would encourage everyone to mosey on over to the DJB Forums and look it up.

Writer's Workshops: Slowly but surely coming. I'm running into a little bit of trouble here, because the Shadow Academy has already taken a lot of the topics I wanted to write about - not that I'm complaining! Maybe I'll just do it up as a Shadow Academy course instead, and be done with it.

Fiction Tribune Web Site: Stalled by the GJW, as expected. I'll be speaking with Windos and Dalthid about that.

That's all for now. August Monthly Topics are ending soon (forty minutes from this post, by my clock) and the September ones will be out whenever Kaek approves the competition. There may also be another competition coming out within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

August MTs

Alrighty, the August MTs are out as of now. With the GJW and all going on, I got on a "war stories" kind of trip, and all of the topics are related to that.

Please note: THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL GJW EVENTS. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE POINTS IN THE GJW FOR PARTICIPATING IN THESE EVENTS.

Writing: A Day in the Trenches
Poetry: Warsong
Graphics: The Battlefield

All submissions are due by Aug 31. Please send them to dbfictiontribune [at] gmail [dot] com with the topic "August MT Submission". In July, I had a few people send submissions to my personal e-mail address. Anyone who does this will have their entry deleted with no warning. Also, please include your ID line and PIN number in either the submission itself or the body of the e-mail.

Thanks to all, and good luck in the GJW!
